“It is an honor that the owners announce and welcome Kristi Daeda as our newest partner and full voting member of the Board,” said Steve McClure, principal owner and chair of The Family Business Consulting Group. “Kristi has accomplished a very big step in the later stage of a successful leadership transition.”

Since joining FBCG in 2013, Kristi has led a variety of practice areas including family and corporate governance, family enterprise education, intellectual property development, marketing, institutional relations, and research on family enterprise topics. In January 2020, Kristi began her role as president to lead the organization’s operational and strategic initiatives as well as the platform which supports the firm’s clients and consultants.

“In the years that I have been a part of the FBCG family, I have been continually impressed by the firm’s ownership and its commitment to excellence in client service and building a firm with an exceptional culture that will continue as an independent firm in perpetuity,” remarked Kristi. “I’m honored to join these committed professionals in this new role stewarding FBCG.”

Kristi is a member of the Family Firm Institute where she’s contributed to their publication The Practitioner. In addition, she has contributed to Crain’s Chicago Business and Family Business Magazine and is a frequent speaker on the themes of family business, governance, leadership and strategy.

Established in 1994, The Family Business Consulting Group’s ownership group today includes Stephanie Brun de Pontet, Barbara Dartt, Michael Fassler, Greg Greenleaf, David Karofsky, Steve McClure, Dana Telford and Kristi Daeda.

Our intention is similar to that of many of the family businesses we serve: to perpetuate The Family Business Consulting Group across generations by constantly identifying and attracting outstanding professionals and continuously facilitating their improvement while reinvesting in our organization, methods and intellectual capital.
