Explore the findings of a landmark study that catalogs the evolution of family enterprise over the last thirty years. In this session, Plante Moran and The Family Business Consulting Group revisit the American Family Business Survey, a comprehensive survey of family business leaders across the United States first conducted in 1995. Both then and now, these research studies explore practices in succession planning, governance, family dynamics, and the critical intersection between business performance and family investment. With a special focus on governance practices and coupled with insight from today’s family business boards, this session offers insights into what distinguishes thriving family enterprises.
