Marti Beltz

As a consultant with The Family Business Consulting Group, Marti specializes in helping enterprising families navigate both expected and unexpected business lifecycle transitions, inherently more complex in a family dynamic. She is highly skilled and experienced in developing systems, structures and processes that help define roles, responsibilities, decision-making rights, and communication practices key to healthy family succession and business continuity. While she is frequently invited to assist with strategy development and deployment, Marti is particularly grateful for opportunities to serve as an executive leadership coach, board development advisor, and next-gen development mentor.

With over 30 years of experience as a psychologist and business operations improvement consultant, Marti has established herself as a collaborative change agent at individual, family, and organizational levels. She has served as an Examiner on the Board of the Malcolm Baldrige National Award; as a Judge for the American Society for Quality’s International Team Excellence Award; and on the Board of Directors for the New England States’ Business Performance Excellence Awards. Marti is the author of internationally recognized books, articles, curriculum, and conference presentations on strategy and process improvement.

Having been raised by two third-generation family business owners and working with businesses of all sizes and across industry sectors, Marti has developed a deep respect and passion for the meaningful work designed to effectively grow, transform, and sustain the family-owned businesses across generations.
