Agape Redwood Rogers

Agape Redwood Rogers is the Board Search Practice Lead at The Family Business Consulting Group where she supports the placement of qualified independent directors by evaluating client needs and optimizing the candidate selection process.

Agape’s expertise and experience stems from her role as the Senior Program Manager at The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), where she led their Corporate Board Initiative (CBI), a leadership program designed to transform Executives into sought-after Corporate Board Candidates. Before CBI, one of her most notable achievements was increasing Gallup’s speaking engagement revenue by 34% within her first 12 months by engaging her relationships with high profile strategic partners and subject matter experts.

Agape grew up in an entrepreneurial family and witnessed firsthand the resilience of family businesses.  Alongside her sister, she co-founded Signature Media Group Speakers (SMG), a full-service speaker bureau representing nationally recognized thought leaders and talent. As SMG’s Vice President, Agape coached and advised clients, and developed innovative strategies, and implemented solution driven systems.

Outside of work, Agape is an advocate for the social and economic development for minority communities. In 2017, she hosted the Women of Power Initiative in Cape Town, South Africa, helping women of color to learn, network and thrive. Through her experience as a certified Clifton StrengthsFinder Coach, Agape continues to support individuals and teams in discovering their strengths.

Agape is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and DePaul University. She resides in Washington, DC with her husband and daughter where she enjoys reading and traveling with family and friends.
