Asin Lalji Nurani joins The Family Business Consulting Group as a consultant specializing in governance of the overlapping family business systems through the creation of policies and processes, including the creation of family constitutions, family councils, next-gen development and managing conflict as a trained mediator. Having lived in four countries in Africa, the Middle East and North America, he has a global perspective and in-depth understanding of cultural nuances.

Asin comes from a pedigree of family businesses, with extended family involvement in a myriad of industries including wheat and maize milling, steel, plastics, soap and oil, hospitality and other sectors. As a member of an extended family involved in large businesses in East Africa, he has first-hand knowledge and experience of dealing with family dynamics, with its intricacies and complexities, along with its pitfalls.

Prior to joining FBCG, Asin was the Managing Partner in a family business advisory firm in Dubai where he advised numerous family businesses internationally. Previously, he co-owned and operated his own family business polypropylene-woven sack factory in Kenya as well as a hot-beverage vending business in Oman.
