The Chair Forum is an exclusive opportunity for in-depth conversations with peers and experts on some of the distinct questions that face the chair of a family business board. In an intimate, discussion-based setting, you’ll join with chairs of similar family enterprise boards to learn how highly effective board chairs lead.
Facilitated by leading family business governance experts Dr. Craig Aronoff, Dr. Jennifer Pendergast, and Joe Schmieder, this seminar will provide an insider’s view of the innovative and meaningful ways that family businesses build thriving governance systems. A mix of case studies, theory, and the group’s shared experiences will form the foundation for a higher understanding of the role of the family business board chair and how to better influence the success of the enterprise from that seat.
Who Should Attend
Participants must meet the following criteria:
Current chairman of the board for a family firm. Vice-chairs may also register to attend along with the current chair.
The board must include independent directors or be in the process of adding independent directors.
The board must consistently meet at least three times per year.
To ensure all attendees derive optimum value from the program, attendance is restricted to 40 chairs and vice-chairs and is subject to approval by conference organizers.
